Fund for Racial Justice Teaching and Programming

Consistent with its core mission and in solidarity with Rice for Black Life and the various other forms of resistance across the globe, CERCL is accepting proposals for grants up to $3,000 to assist with Rice’s continuing effort to counter anti-black racism and push for a more just society as central elements of its teaching, research, and leadership strategies.

African American Religious Studies Forum Fellows Program

A program for graduate students whose research presents and promotes innovative scholarship related to the study of African American religion. The AARSF Fellows Program provides opportunities for graduate students working in African American religion to: (1) present their research; (2) add to the CERCL Archive in the Woodson Research Center at Rice University’s Fondren Library.

 

Rice University graduate students who are in the writing phase of the program (e.g. working on the dissertation proposal or dissertation) are eligible to apply.

$2,500 Stipend

Scholar-in-Residence @ African American Library at the Gregory School

CERCL in partnership with the African American History research Center -  Gregory Campus offers residential fellowships for scholars whose research would benefit from the Houston Public Library special collections (particularly the AAHRC - Gregory Campus archives).

$3,500 Stipend
